About the Job 

The Sales Compensation Analyst will support and maintain sales compensation tools, ensuring data flow and monitoring payroll runs. They will collaborate with business teams to implement compensation solutions and develop compensation rules for new plans. The role involves automating tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and enforcing security policies. Key responsibilities also include troubleshooting issues, creating executive dashboards using Tableau, and building data pipelines. Required skills include SQL/PLSQL, data modeling, and strong communication. A Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in data-related roles are required, with experience in sales compensation tools like Varicent or Xactly preferred.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in data field

Skills Required

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and PL/SQL
  • Proficiency in building data pipelines 
  • Must have worked on Sales compensation tools like Varicent & Xactly
  • Hands-on experience on building executive dashboards using tools like Tableau.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and ability to design appropriate data models for effecting performance and cost profile.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in creating and implementing sales compensation models
  • Experience in Sales compensation tools like Varicent, Xactly etc.

Role & Responsibilities 

  • Support and maintain infrastructure related sales compensation tools and underlying data flow.
  • Manage monitoring of production sales comp payroll runs and provide proactive production support for issues/failures.
  • Work closely with business teams to understand compensation requirements and provide appropriate and timely implementation solutions.
  • Facilitate communication with business groups and UAT teams for end-to-end delivery.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and processes.
  • Use scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices and policies for compensation details access across various sales verticals.
  • Respond to and resolve operational issues, outages, and incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
