About the Job
You will help build the technologies that enable millions of Americans to connect and converse with information and one another. You will work in a complex, fast paced and highly elastic environment that provides opportunities to navigate across different teams and projects. In this role:
- Architecting systems and processes that fulfill DISH’s wireless goals
- Evaluating and recommending architectural changes to align with DISH’s cloud-native principles
- Define processes and mechanisms for Life Cycle Management and recommend architectural changes
- Creating detailed level 3/4 design documents, including flow diagram, sequence diagram, data model, network configurations diagram
- Participate in architecture design and review sessions
Responsibilities
- Work with various Product Teams, Project Management teams, and application teams to understand the business needs.
- Evaluating, identifying and developing application/service solutions with the stakeholders and application team.
- Ensure the architecture documentation is created and remains up to date
- Help troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the API platform, API accessibility and API deployments
- Perform root cause analysis for Production issues and come up with solutions that will prevent them from happening in the future
- Participate and contribute in grooming technical user stories impacting integration
Skills and Experience
High-level qualifications:
- 8+ years of system or applications architecture experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple parts of a large organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-motivate and self-manage
- Good interpersonal and effective communication skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Excellent understanding and experience with running applications at scale using containers and Kubernetes
- Experience understanding and designing system integrations via APIs
- Specialize in one of the following; data analysis, catalog design, order management, billing, provisioning, mobile, B2B, cloud automation, software development
Specific qualifications:
- Experience with Java, Spring, Microservice, and Database development
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience E2E solution designing system and or application architectures
- Experience with integration platforms such as Apigee
Preferred qualification:
- Industry certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solution Architect, GCP
- Retail Wireless Experience
- Specialize in one or more of the following; data analysis, catalog design, order management, billing, provisioning, mobile, B2B, cloud automation, software development
