About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Data Analytics Sr. Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data analytics solutions. The role involves working with Informatica, SQL/PLSQL, Tableau, and cloud data warehouses (GCP BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Azure) to deliver scalable and cost-effective data pipelines, reporting, and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in ETL development, BI tools, and cloud migrations, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management:
- Support and maintain infrastructure related changes as for Informatica ETL tasks.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
- Manage monitoring of production informatica ETL tasks and provide proactive production support for issues/failures.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with business teams to understand data analytics requirements and provide appropriate data design solutions.
- Facilitate communication with business groups and UAT teams for end-to-end delivery.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and processes.
- Use scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security best practices and policies for data and reports access.
- Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
- Respond to and resolve operational issues, outages, and incidents.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
- Development
- Develop Informatica ETL jobs and SQL queries to support various data analytics projects.
- Develop ad-hoc tableau dashboards to be presented to executive management.
- Ensure cost effective implementation in cloud DWs like GCP Big Query/AWS Redshift/ Microsoft Azure
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Skills:
- Implementing Business Intelligence solutions with tools like Informatica IICS, SAP Business Objects, Tableau or any other Business Intelligence (BI) tools and backend databases like Oracle and MongoDB.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SQL and PL/SQL
- Proficiency in Google Cloud – Big Query
- Experience with data cataloging tool like Informatica Cloud Data and Governance (aka Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog)
- Hands-on experience on BI tools like Tableau, SAP Business Object (Webi)
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and ability to design appropriate data models for effecting performance and cost profile.
- Communication Skills/ Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and support.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with experience in data analytics for 8+ years
- Experience in creating data pipelines, especially in cloud environments.
- Experience in migrating data workloads from on-prem to cloud DWs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cloud data computing on GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.
- Experience in Data Catalog tools such as Informatica CDGC etc.
