About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior RAN Automation Engineer to join our Wireless Network team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve network performance, and accelerate service delivery in Radio Access Networks (RAN). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, reduce manual tasks, and build scalable systems that support 4G/5G networks.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
Experience Requirements
- Design and develop automation scripts, workflows, and tools to optimize RAN configuration, performance, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze network data and KPIs to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Integrate automation tools with existing OSS and EMS systems and cloud-native platforms.
- Collaborate with RAN engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to deploy solutions in production environments.
- Build CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable and repeatable automation deployments.
- Support zero-touch provisioning, self-healing, and closed-loop optimization initiatives in the RAN domain.
- Document processes, provide training, and contribute to the standardization of automation best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends in AI/ML, ORAN, and network automation frameworks.
Role & Responsibilities
- Proficiency in Python for developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend services using frameworks such as Django, or Flask.
- Proven ability to deploy, monitor, and manage applications effectively on AWS or similar cloud/server infrastructure.
- Strong collaborative skills, with experience working effectively across cross-functional teams including front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers.
- Experience conducting thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring junior team members.
- Experience writing comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure high application quality and reliability.
- Active participation in architectural discussions and significant contributions to system design decisions.
- Proficient at diagnosing performance issues and debugging complex problems across the software stack.
- Able to produce clear, concise documentation for backend processes, API specifications, and technical workflows.
- Familiarity with 5G Wireless network architecture technologies, concepts, and industry standards
- Experience working with RAN vendor equipment (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, or Huawei).
- Knowhow in RAN Performance Metrics
- Familiarity with AI/ML models and data science projects – Desirable
